ANIMAL CONCERN CUMBRIA
WEST BRANCH
Animal Concern Cumbria is a small local charity which exists to help find new homes for neglected or unwanted animals. It is the firm policy of the charity not to destroy an animal , except on the medical advice of a Veterinary Surgeon. The Charity is self-funding and is run entirely by Volunteers.
This website deals with the West Cumbria branch of Animal Concern, which rescues and re-homes dogs, cats and occasionally small animals. The branch is based in and around Workington where we maintain a kennelling facility for dogs.

SPECIAL CAT FOSTERERS WANTED
We have in our care a number of cats which are unused to a domestic environment and have not been socialised (they are not , and never have been , feral) . They simply need human interaction and plenty of TLC to prepare them for permanent homes . The cats are between 10 months and 4 years of age .
If you are interested in providing foster care for one or more of these cats , please telephone Doreen on 078746311483 .
Fosterers are still required to provide temporary homes for our other , socialised , cats .

If you feel you could provide a forever home for one of the animals currently in our care, please read our Adoption Policy on the General Information page.
A LIFETIME'S CARE
There are some animals in our care who, through no fault of their own, can never be re-homed. Animal Concern Cumbria will continue to care for these animals throughout their lives.
