Distington Vintage Rally , 4th July 2010.
After sitting in the chairman's van for 4hours waiting out the rain we finally managed to set up the Tombola. Despite the high winds and late start we managed to raise £163, many thanks to all the volunteers who turned out in the poor weather, and to our 'customers' for their generosity and support. Tony and Cassie (the dogs) once again behaved excellently.
Many thanks to the organisers and fingers crossed for better weather next year.
Vulcans Park , 30th May 2010
On a warm and sunny day in Workington we raised an amazing £413. Carol had done an amazing job sorting and ticketing prizes, Sam had made the stall look brilliant and Sue once again donned her 'doggy' costume. Other volunteers helped out on the stall and showed off the dogs around the Park.
The dogs (Tanya, Basil, Daisy and Cassie) once again behaved brillantly, and helped raise positive awareness of our charity and rescue dogs in general.
Many thanks to the Lyons for organising this event and to the people of Workington for their generosity.
