Roxy is a 10 year old Rotweiller. She has been at Animal Concern for almost two years now . She came in with her lifelong friend Zak (11) but with winter coming on we began to worry about Zak's welfare. After a special appeal , Zak was offered a wonderful new home so , reluctantly , we decided to split them up.

Roxy is now on her own and , as she too is getting on in years , she also really needs to find a nice home to live out her remaining years in warmth and comfort.

She may look big and beefy but she's a real sweetie! She's very affectionate and loves being groomed. She's friendly with any dog she meets out and about but would be better as an only pet.

In spite of her age , Roxy still has plenty of life in her and she enjoys a trip to the beach and a game of fetch. Equally , she's quite happy just pottering around. Her recall is very good and she doesn't pull on-lead. In a car , Roxy lies back and settles quietly.

Could you give this gentle giant the new start in life she so richly deserves?

*** In view of her age , Roxy can be adopted under our Friends For Life scheme , whereby any veterinary costs will be paid by Animal Concern. We would also be happy to place Roxy in a foster home. ***
