Adopting an animal is a 10+ year commitment in most cases. If you are committed
to a life of responsible animal ownership, we would be more than happy to hear
from you.
*Homes are carefully selected to ensure that an animal is suitably matched. We do not just 'give' an animal
to anyone who 'asks'.
*All applicants must be aged 18+ and be available for an interview with one of our re-homing officers.
*All prospective homes will be required to submit references or have their home checked prior to adoption.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure compatibility, a full medical and social history is often not available. Animal Concern cannot take any responsibility for any damage or injury caused by an animal, once adopted.
We always welcome dedicated people who share our enthusiasm for the welfare of animals. If you would like to join our team of volunteers, you could help in one or more of the following ways:
Kennel working - feeding, walking and socialising of dogs; cleaning and maintaining the environment.
Fostering - short and long-term fostering of dogs, cats and small animals.
Home checking - visiting the homes of potential owners to check the care and environment to be provided.
Fund-raising - helping to devise and organise fund-raising schemes and events.
