Sanctuary Fund
Animal Concern Cumbria maintains a Sanctuary Fund that grew from the late Mary Irwin's inspiration, ambition and love of animals. With support from her friends, a foundation of about £20,000 was accumulated by the time of her death. To date, further donations and money from collecting boxes have resulted in the current total of over £32,000 in the fund restricted to the purpose of establishing a Sanctuary. (This is separate from the generous legacy Mary left Animal Concern, held in a Designated Fund.) But much more financial support is necessary before we can implement this sanctuary project and so if you would like to make a donation to it, please contact Jim Hewitson (Hon.Treasurer) telephone 01946 692178 or email: jhewitson@btinternet.com stating clearly that your gift is for the restricted Sanctuary Fund. As with other donations Gift Aid is applicable if you are a UK tax payer.
