ANIMAL CONCERN CUMBRIA
WEST BRANCH
Animal Concern Cumbria is a small local charity which helps to find new homes for neglected or unwanted animals. It is the firm policy of the charity not to destroy an animal , except on the medical advice of a Vet. The Charity is self-funding and is run entirely by Volunteers.
This website deals with the West Cumbria branch , which rescues and re-homes dogs , cats and occasionally small animals. The branch is based around Workington where we maintain a kennelling facility for dogs.
DOG FOSTERING
Could anyone provide a temporary refuge for any of our dogs whilst they are waiting for their forever home ? Support will be on hand and all costs covered.

CAT FOSTERERS WANTED
We are always in need of foster homes for our cats also. Some may need special care but most simply need a friendly place to stay whilst Animal Concern find a permanent home for them.
If you are interested in providing temporary care for one or more of our cats , please telephone Carole on 01900 824654 .
ADOPTION
If you feel you could provide a forever home for one of the animals currently in our care, please read our Adoption Policy on the General Information page.
A LIFETIME'S CARE
There are some animals in our care who, through no fault of their own, can never be re-homed. Animal Concern Cumbria will continue to care for these animals throughout their lives.
Funds are always needed for this and all our work; ways in which you could help can be seen on the Support Us page.
